Find below a Blasters video from 1985. In the years since it’s sometimes hard to remember that Phil was considered the star of the band, not Dave. As Dave has become a kind of elder statesman/singer-songwriter for the “Americana” movement, Phil has faded into the background. Phil eventually went back to school and got his PhD from UCLA in mathmatics. This is one of my fave Blasters songs ever. Brutal and frightening.
